YELLOWTAIL SHOOTOUT is confirmed for it’s 15th year!
The team at BD Outdoors hosts the west coast’s largest fishing tournament every year and this year it’s bigger and better. With 110+ private boat anglers, more prizes, bigger cash, and a coming together in Southern California for a head-to-head competition.
The YELLOWTAIL SHOOTOUT brings together the best of the best avid saltwater anglers in Southern California competing to bring in the largest Yellowtail. The top 5 Yellowtail fish will receive podium recognition and winnings, and a category for “largest tuna” will also be awarded.
The event begins with a captain’s meeting to kick-off the event, followed by lines in at 5am the next morning. After weigh ins, the next day BD Outdoors hosts all the participants for an awards reception dinner complete with a vendor village, prizes, giveaways and more.
In 2021, we saw 79 teams and 273 anglers competing. We have limited this year’s entries to max out at 110 overall teams. There are high hopes and egos to feed in order to beat last year’s 36.8lb winning Yellowtail.
BD Outdoors focus is to ensure all participants receive more value than they spent to be in the event in the form of goodie bags/ promotional products, an awards reception/ dinner, and a rad experience.
