PART-TIME SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

BD Outdoors is looking for a candidate who is organized, creative and self-motivated for a Social Media Specialist. This position will be working closely with the Managing Editor, Operations and Marketing.

COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly rate plus sick days

HOURS ESTIMATED: 15-20 hours per week with the ability to manage your own schedule

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage multiple social media accounts and all profiles for our brand and select partners
  • Source, create, and publish content daily designed to be authentic and engage our audiences
  • Schedule one post per day per profile or select partners and edit as necessary
  • Interact and communicate with select partners to provide social media leadership on aspects such as social media cadence, content, and engagements
  • Provide daily campaign activation support across social media
  • Manage all social media content amplification for all site content via Facebook/ IG/ YouTube and Google ads
  • Maintain the digital hygiene of LinkTree and IG Highlights
  • Create your own social stories and video reels as necessary
  • Actively track social performance and provide weekly analytic reports
  • Keep us on the cutting edge of social media tech and trends by researching the industry landscape and sharing best practices
  • Communicate to and work with influencers
  • Monitor and respond to all communications in a timely matter including comments, DMs, inquiries etc.
  • Monitor any comments that may need to be addressed or removed
  • Interact with internal stakeholders as necessary on customer inquiries via social media

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skills in Canva, Later, Capcut (or other comparable video editing software), and Adobe Suite, specifically: photoshop and illustrator.
  • Asana or other project management program is a plus
  • Working knowledge of WordPress is a plus
  • At least 1 year social experience

MEDIA & ADVERTISING SALES REPRESENTATIVE - BOATING

BD Outdoors is looking for a candidate who is organized, creative and self-motivated for a Media & Sales Representative. This position will be working closely with Operations and Marketing.

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary, paid PTO, sick days, 401k (after 1 year of employment), health insurance stipend

SCHEDULE: Hybrid – in office Monday through Thursday with the ability to work from home on Fridays

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Identify, contact, and pitch to prospective advertising clients
  • Sell advertising space or campaigns across designated media platforms
  • Prepare and present customized advertising proposals based on client objectives
  • Negotiate pricing, placement, and contract terms
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams on ad delivery, creative specs, and scheduling
  • Track campaign performance and deliver post-campaign reports
  • Meet or exceed revenue and sales targets
  • Learn media product offerings and pricing structures
  • Maintain records in CRM and support campaign fulfillment coordination
  • Conduct research on potential clients’ products or services and determining the geographic location of the majority of their target customers
  • Set up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals and address their concerns.
  • Attend sales trade shows as required.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders as necessary
